Christmas Blog: Spreading Holiday Cheer

We hope that everyone is having a great holiday season! This year we have decided to make our Christmas card interactive and ask each one of our customers to help us spread some Christmas cheer. Our team has picked 3 charities and we are going to be donating £5,000 across the 3. Every Ticket Tailor user will get a vote to help us decide where the funds are delivered to. Keep reading to find out about which charities we picked and what their mission is.

All Dogs Matter

At Ticket Tailor we hold a special place in our hearts for dogs. As a matter of fact, we have 2 four legged team members, Alfie and Lola, who are at the office almost daily. All Dogs Matter is an amazing Charity that focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming. Their mission is to transform the lives of dogs and their owners and they work tirelessly to see that through. We have seen their work first hand after our founder Jonny went through their adoption process to bring Alfie home! Rainbow Trust

When we set out to find Charities for this initiative we came across many that were well deserving, but Rainbow Trust was one that really set itself apart. Rainbow Trust works to provide support for families with a seriously ill child. Their approach is to provide bespoke support for families as a whole. They work with the child, their siblings and their parents and help them through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK who may require palliative care.  To meet this demand they urgently need to fund Family Support Workers in our local communities.  Rainbow Trust’s Family Support Workers provide practical and emotional support in the home, the hospital, the community; wherever and whenever it is needed. The Christmas season is especially important to their programme as they work to make sure that it is a special time even for those going through the hardest of times. Hackney Winter Night Shelter

Shelter is one of the most basic human needs, and it is especially essential during the harsh winter months. We chose to include the Hackney Winter Night Shelter because their dedicated team works to ensure that people are not left out in the cold and also to let them know that there are people who care about them. Our office is in Hackney and we know how much this community benefits from the positive work of this group. The Hackney Winter Night shelter’s work does not end in the morning, they also work very hard to support people in rebuilding their lives.
