In order to accept ticket sale payments with Ticket Tailor, you will need a payment processor account. Ticket Tailor has partnered with Stripe and PayPal for payment processing solutions – both providers are low-cost and easy to integrate.


Our first choice recommendation is Stripe, for the following reasons:

How does the free trial work?

It's free to use for your first five ticket sales. When your fifth ticket purchase comes through we will send you an email asking you to choose a plan and make a payment. If you wish to start your subscription straight away, you are welcome to do so.

Your fees are so low!! How come?

That's right. We want to make Ticket Tailor as affordable as possible for event organisers of all sizes. Our system even allows you to add a booking fee markup and keep it as extra revenue.

In order to process payments, you will need to use a payment processor (Stripe or PayPal) and they charge a small transaction fee to cover the cost of processing the payment. Learn more about payment processing.

How do I get the charity discount?

Once you have signed up, email us with proof of your charity status. Once verified, we will apply the charity discount to your account, usually within 24 hours.

How do I get paid for the tickets sold?

You’ll need a Stripe or PayPal account to receive ticket sales revenue through Ticket Tailor. We recommend Stripe as our preferred payment provider as they are very easy to use, have a slick checkout process for ticket buyers, and have low payment processing rates.

Both Stripe and PayPal will allow your customers to pay you directly using a credit / debit card. Using PayPal also allows customers to pay using their PayPal account. If you don't have a Stripe or PayPal account, don't worry, we will send you all the details you need to get going. Learn more about payment processing.

Can I use other ticketing companies alongside?

That's no problem, you can do whatever you like - it's your ticketing system.

Sometimes I won't need the system. Will I still need to pay the subscription?

There are no contracts with our monthly plans and you are in full control of switching plans whenever you like. When you have no events on sale, simply switch to our free plan and maintain access to all your lovely data.

Once an event has passed, will it still count as part of my allocation?

No. The number of events refers to the number of events you can have on sale. So if an event has passed, or you have stopped sales on an event, it will no longer count as part of your allocation.

How much notice is required to switch plans?

If you are on a monthly plan you can switch plan at any time without notice.
